The Palmolive Building stands at 919 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago as a 37-story Art Deco tower completed in 1929 by the architectural firm Holabird & Root. Rising 172 meters, the limestone-clad structure exemplifies the Streamline Moderne aesthetic that characterized progressive skyscraper design of the era. The building later became known as the Playboy Building and has been recognized as both a Chicago Landmark and a listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
