The Leo Burnett Building, a 50-story postmodern skyscraper completed in 1989 at 35 West Wacker Drive in Chicago's Loop, rises 635 feet above the southern bank of the Chicago River's Main Stem. Designed by Kevin Roche–John Dinkeloo and Associates with Shaw & Associates, the tower was the 12th tallest structure in Chicago upon completion. Its postmodern aesthetic employs granite, masonry, glass, steel, and concrete, with windows characteristically divided by stainless steel bars in the tradition of the iconic Chicago window.
