The Pitkin County Courthouse, a large Victorian brick structure completed in 1890, stands on East Main Street in Aspen, Colorado, serving as the seat of the county's judicial offices. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, it has become a city landmark. The building features a distinctive statue of Lady Justice in its front entrance—unusually depicted without a blindfold, setting it apart from conventional courthouse iconography. As Aspen transformed into a destination for wealthy residents and celebrities in the late twentieth and twenty-first centuries, the courthouse gained prominence as the venue for several high-profile cases, including trials involving Ted Bundy and Charlie Sheen.
