Located in Shelbyville, Indiana, the Porter Pool Bathhouse is a 1½-story Art Deco brick building constructed in 1930. Its rectangular form and streamlined aesthetic exemplify the geometric vocabulary of the Art Deco style popular during the Depression era. Originally serving as a public bathhouse, the structure was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. Following the closure of Porter Pool, the building was repurposed to house the Shelby County Tourism and Visitors Bureau Welcome Center and the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce, extending its civic function into the present day.
