Rådhuset is a rapid transit station in Kungsholmen, central Stockholm, that opened on 31 August 1975 as part of the inaugural stretch of the Blue Line connecting T-Centralen and Hjulsta. Located between T-Centralen and Fridhemsplan, the underground station employs organic architecture, a design approach that leaves the bedrock exposed and unsculptured, creating an appearance reminiscent of natural cave systems. Named after Rådhuset (The Courthouse) situated directly above it, the station sits in proximity to Stockholm's City Hall and Police Headquarters.
