Raffles City Chongqing is a complex of eight towers designed by Israeli-Canadian architect Moshe Safdie in Yuzhong District, Chongqing, China, completed in 2012. The tallest structure reaches 356 metres. The project encompasses 817,000 square metres of floor space and includes a distinctive 300-metre-long horizontal skybridge called the "Crystal" connecting the tops of four skyscrapers—the second highest such structure in the world after the Kingdom Centre in Riyadh. Developed by Singaporean real estate firm CapitaLand and constructed by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Group Co. Ltd., the complex replaced earlier structures including a 32-storey passenger terminal building and hotel from 1996, as well as the Three Gorges Hotel, demolished in August 2012. It ranks among China's most expensive building projects.
