Located in Elkins, West Virginia, the Randolph County Courthouse and Jail is a pair of Richardsonian Romanesque buildings constructed between 1902 and 1904. Built of brick faced with contrasting stone trim, the courthouse measures 103 by 76 feet and is dominated by a 150-foot tower flanking its entrance pavilion, which features a rounded arch characteristic of the style. The adjoining jail is distinguished by a massive conical-roofed corner tower. Both structures were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
