Redpath Hall stands at 3461 McTavish Street on McGill University's main campus in Montreal. Built in 1893 by architect Andrew Taylor in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, it originally served as the reading room of McGill's first dedicated library building. As the library expanded southward throughout the twentieth century, the building's function evolved; today it operates as a concert venue and events space under the Schulich School of Music. The hall houses a French Classical pipe organ installed in 1981, built by Hellmuth Wolff, along with a significant portion of McGill's university portrait collection, managed by the McGill Visual Arts Collection.
