The Regal Theatre is a fine Art Deco theatre located in the Perth suburb of Subiaco, Western Australia, designed by architect William G. Bennett and built in 1937, officially opening on 27 April 1938. Named for King George VI, who ascended to the throne during its construction, the theatre was originally operated as a cinema but was converted into a live theatre in 1977. The venue was built by the grandparents of playwright Dorothy Hewett and remains one of Perth's few surviving theatres. It is recognized as a State Registered Place.
