The Perth Concert Hall is a Brutalist concert venue in Western Australia's capital, designed by Howlett & Bailey and opened on Australia Day 1973 in the city's central business district. Sited adjacent to the Supreme Court Gardens and Government House, the building presents two distinctive façades of white off-form concrete—one facing north over St Georges Terrace, the other south toward the Swan River. Its main auditorium seats 1,729 patrons alongside a 160-person choir gallery and a 3,000-pipe organ. The venue gained recognition for its exceptional acoustics, achieved through design consultation with New Zealand acoustician Harold Marshall, and serves as the principal home of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra while hosting diverse cultural events.
