A residential block on Avenhornstraat in Amsterdam, designed in the Amsterdam School style and designated a national monument (Rijksmonument). The building is notable for its eight kitchen dwellings, which were innovative for their era in placing the kitchen at the front of the unit rather than hidden away. A wooden gable crowns the side elevation, a characteristic detail of the period's distinctive architectural approach to working-class housing.
