A residential block at Oudorperstraat 25–39 in Amsterdam, this Rijksmonument exemplifies the Amsterdam School style and is named for its innovative kitchen placement at the front of the dwellings—a progressive feature when the building was constructed. The façade is distinguished by a wooden gable at the side, characteristic of the architectural tradition of Amsterdam's historic streetscapes.
