The Rialto Theatre in Casper, Wyoming is a Chicago School movie theater originally built in 1921 as the New Lyric Theater by Henry Brennan, a successful vaudeville impresario who modeled the cinema on his performance house. With 800 seats, the building underwent a substantial $50,000 remodeling after its 1922 sale to E.J. Schulte, executed by local architects William Dubois and Leon Goodrich, and reopened with a screening of the silent film *Nice People* accompanied by the Chicago Netto Ladies Orchestra. The theater began showing talkies in 1928. Measuring 50 by 100 feet on a prominent corner site, the structure features plain brickwork executed with extensive detail, a tall parapet, retail storefronts on both frontages, and an interior balcony accessed by two curving stairs flanking the lobby. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993, the Rialto was repurposed as an event venue in 2024, hosting comedy, music, and family programming.
