Richmond station in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames is a major interchange serving multiple rail networks in Greater London fare zone 4. Designed by architect James Robb Scott in the Art Deco style, the station functions as a western terminus for both the District line of the London Underground and the Mildmay line of the London Overground, while also accommodating National Rail services operated by South Western Railway on the Waterloo to Reading line. Located between North Sheen and St Margarets stations, approximately 9.6 kilometres southwest of London Waterloo, Richmond station exemplifies early-to-mid twentieth-century modernist railway architecture.
