Built in 1885 on Portsmouth's State Street, the Rockingham Hotel is a prominent early example of Colonial Revival architecture that honors the legacy of the site's previous occupant, Woodbury Langdon's 1785 residence. Designed as one of the finest hotels in northern New England, it has hosted leading figures of its era. The structure now serves as a condominium complex and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
