Rocky Mills, a Georgian mansion originally built around 1750 in Hanover County, Virginia, exemplifies the architectural refinement of colonial Virginia. The structure was remarkably dismantled and relocated approximately 21 miles to Henrico County in 1928, where architect H. Louis Duhring Jr. oversaw its reassembly and expansion. The mansion is distinguished by particularly fine interior woodwork and paneling throughout its rooms. Now known as Fairfield, the property, which encompasses four contributing buildings, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002 and designated as a Virginia Historic Landmark.
