Roxbury Presbyterian Church stands at 328 Warren Street in Boston, a Gothic Revival structure designed by John C. Spofford and completed in 1891 for a congregation founded a decade earlier. Built of Roxbury pudding stone, the church displays asymmetrical massing divided into polygonal sections, with a distinctive northwest tower rising from a square base through progressively varied forms to a pyramidal roof. The construction was substantially funded by the Gilchrist brothers, proprietors of the prominent Gilchrist Department Store. The building was designated to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
