Built around 1735 on Meriam Street in Wakefield, Massachusetts, the Samuel Gould House stands as one of the town's oldest surviving residences and its only remaining 1½-story gambrel-roofed house from that era. Constructed by Samuel Gould, whose family had settled in the area in the late seventeenth century, the Georgian structure reflects the modest domestic architecture of colonial New England. The house has undergone minor alterations over time, including the addition of a Greek Revival door surround dating to the 1830s–1850s, a porch, and second-story gable dormers. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
