The Samuel Wheat House, located at 399 Waltham Street in Newton, Massachusetts, is a 2½-story timber-frame dwelling built circa 1735, likely for Dr. Samuel Wheat, Jr., and ranks among the city's oldest surviving residences. Executed in Georgian style, the house displays five bays across its façade, clapboard siding, and a gambrel roof that was probably original to its construction. Its front entrance is distinguished by flanking pilasters and a gabled pediment. Nineteenth-century dormers were subsequently added to the structure. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
