This small Greek Revival cottage in Wakefield, Massachusetts, was built around 1848 and relocated to its present site at 509 North Avenue approximately two decades later, circa 1869. The single-story wood-frame structure displays the hallmarks of restrained Greek Revival design—a boxed cornice and simple door and window surrounds—across its three-bay-wide façade. The house likely originated on land subdivided from holdings of ice companies that operated on nearby Lake Quannapowitt. Its earliest recorded inhabitant, documented in the town's 1869 directory, was a shoemaker. The building was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
