The Samuel P. Taylor Service Station, built in 1938 at 1123 West 3rd Street in Little Rock, Arkansas, exemplifies the streamlined aesthetic of period automotive architecture. This single-story Art Deco filling station features an L-shaped plan with three service bays positioned at staggered angles and a frontal office space. Black tilework, arranged in a distinctive zigzag pattern, accentuates the cornice and frames the main entrance and office windows, lending the utilitarian structure a refined geometric character typical of Depression-era commercial design. The building was designated a National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
