Situated on US Route 65 in Clinton, Arkansas, the Walter Patterson Filling Station is a rare survivor of 1930s automotive commercial architecture. Built in 1936, this small single-story brick structure exemplifies Tudor Revival style, distinguished by its steeply pitched gable roof and cross-gable detail above the central entrance. The symmetrical façade features a central doorway flanked by square single-pane display windows, a modest but characteristic design of the period's English Revival commercial aesthetic. It remains the only gas station from that era extant in Clinton and was recognized for its historical significance when listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
