Located at 200 North Spring Street in McMinnville, Tennessee, the Spring Street Service Station was built in 1932 as a Pure Oil Company filling station designed by Carl August Petersen. The structure exemplifies Petersen's influential English Cottage design, a residential-inspired aesthetic that Pure Oil deployed across the country from the 1920s through the early 1950s. The one-story white brick building features steeply pitched side gable roofs covered in blue-tinted asphalt shingles and follows a tripartite rectangular plan dividing office, service garage, and pump island canopy. Resting on a concrete slab foundation, the station retained its original interior layout and character-defining elements through a tax-credit rehabilitation project. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001, the building has since been repurposed as an art gallery.
