The Samuel Simpson House, a single-family residence at 1370 Scard Road in Wallingford, Connecticut, was built in 1838 by John Meigs Hall for the 19th-century industrialist and philanthropist Samuel Simpson. The structure incorporates timber beams salvaged from an earlier building on the site, some dating to the 1600s. Around 1867, the house underwent extensive redesign by Henry Austin, a prominent New Haven architect, who added Renaissance Revival characteristics to its original Greek Revival design. The house was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
