This two-story brick Art Deco courthouse, sited at 252 South Main Street in Waldron, Arkansas, was designed by the Fort Smith firm Bassham & Wheeler and constructed in 1934 with Works Progress Administration funding to replace a predecessor destroyed by fire. The building exemplifies the streamlined aesthetic of its era, featuring a high foundation, flat roof with parapet, and clean lines characteristic of Art Deco design. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989 and recognized as a contributing structure to the Waldron Commercial Historic District, the courthouse now houses the Scott County Museum of History, which opened its doors in 2022.
