Located in Benton, Scott County, Missouri, the Scott County Courthouse is a reinforced concrete Beaux-Arts structure designed by architect Henry H. Hohenschild and completed in 1912. The building features a distinctive "T"-plan with a three-story, five-bay central block flanked by two-story wings. Three bays of the central façade are recessed behind colossal Ionic order columns supporting a dentiled entablature, while terra cotta and cast stone ornaments enliven the brick-sheathed exterior. The courthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
