The Swift County Courthouse in Benson, Minnesota, has served as the seat of government for Swift County since its dedication in 1898. Designed by the architectural firm Buechner & Jacobson in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, the building exemplifies the influence of that architectural mode on late-nineteenth-century public buildings. Its continuous use over more than a century and significant role in county governance earned it a listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.
