Perched on Genesee Mountain near Genesee, Colorado, the Sculptured House is a striking expressionist residence completed in 1963 by architect Charles Deaton. Its defining characteristic is an elliptical curved form that distinguishes it from conventional domestic architecture. The innovative design brought the house wider recognition when it appeared as a key location in Woody Allen's 1973 science-fiction comedy *Sleeper*. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it remains a notable example of mid-twentieth-century experimental architecture.
