The Sears, Roebuck and Company Store stands at 800 West Broadway in Louisville, Kentucky, as a rare example of Art Deco commercial architecture in the city. Built in 1928, it is the only major retail building in Louisville executed in this style, making it architecturally significant within the local built environment. The structure exemplifies Art Deco design principles through its strong vertical elements and geometric patterns in the detailing. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, the building preserves an important chapter in early twentieth-century commercial retail design.
