The Senate House in Chennai is the administrative centre of the University of Madras, located on Wallajah Road near Marina Beach. Constructed between 1874 and 1879 by architect Robert Chisholm, the building exemplifies Indo-Saracenic architecture and is recognized as one of the finest and oldest examples of this style in India.
