Seoul Lite, more formally known as the Digital Media City Seoul Landmark Building or Seoul Landmark Project, was an unfinished 133-floor supertall skyscraper proposed for Digital Media City in Seoul, South Korea. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill with SAMOO as local architect of record, the 640-meter structure was intended to become the world's third-tallest building and Korea's tallest. Construction began in October 2009 with an estimated cost of 3.3 trillion won and a projected completion date of April 2015. The building was to feature an observation deck at 540 meters on the 133rd floor—the world's highest—along with luxury hotel rooms on floors 108–130, high-end retail, office and residential spaces, a convention center, an interactive aquarium, and cultural facilities. Backed by Seoul Metropolitan Government and built by Samsung C&T, the project was cancelled in 2012 due to budgetary constraints and the collapse of South Korea's property market bubble.
