Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright with Thomas Casey as supervising architect, the Seth Peterson Cottage is a one-story modern dwelling built near Reedsburg in Mirror Lake State Park, Wisconsin. Completed in 1961 (construction began in 1959), it was one of Wright's final designs. The cottage features ashlar stone foundations and expansive glass windows, with a compact plan centered on a utility core containing kitchen and bathroom; the bedroom has a flat roof while the remainder of the structure slopes. Though originally commissioned for computer operator Seth Peterson of Black Earth, Wisconsin, it passed to the Pritchard family upon Peterson's death and later to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. After decades of deterioration, the Seth Peterson Cottage Conservancy undertook a comprehensive restoration beginning in 1989, reopening it for public rental in 1992. The house is listed on both the National Register of Historic Places and the Wisconsin State Register of Historic Places.
