Built in 1907 at the hamlet of Smyrna in Chenango County, New York, this modest two-story town hall and opera house combines civic and cultural functions in a single wood-frame structure. The building features a yellow brick veneer and a shallow hipped roof crowned with a square wooden cupola, presenting three bays across its width and four in depth. Originally serving as both a municipal seat and a venue for theatrical performances, it was recognized for its historic significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
