The South Parish Congregational Church and Parish House stands at 9 Church Street in Augusta, Maine, representing two distinct architectural periods of the nineteenth century. Built in 1865, the church itself is a major Gothic Revival work designed by Francis H. Fassett, Maine's leading mid-nineteenth-century architect. The adjoining parish house, added in 1889, was designed by James H. Cochrane and is notable as a rare example of Stick style architecture in Maine. The congregation it serves dates to 1773, when the area was part of Hallowell. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
