St Andrew House, a prominent 18-storey brutalist skyscraper completed in 1964, stands 71 metres tall on West Nile Street in Glasgow. Originally constructed as an office building, it was acquired by Whitebread Hotels in 2008 and underwent refurbishment beginning in 2010 to convert its vacant office space into hotel accommodations. The building reopened in October 2012 as Premier Inn Glasgow Buchanan Galleries, a budget hotel operation. At the time of its completion, the structure represented a notable addition to Glasgow's skyline; it remains the city's 15th tallest building.
