St John the Evangelist's Church in Nottingham, built in 1827 by architect Edward James Willson, was the first purpose-built Roman Catholic church erected in the city since the English Reformation. Designed in the Venetian Gothic style, the building now serves as offices and retains Grade II listed status, marking an important moment in Nottingham's religious history when Catholics were once again able to construct dedicated places of worship.
