The Sycamore-13th Street Grouping is a historic district comprising eighteen brick and sandstone buildings in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, constructed during the mid-to-late nineteenth century. While some structures showcase Greek Revival, Italianate, or Queen Anne architectural elements, the majority are simple vernacular designs, most built for residential use—either purely residential or combining residential and commercial space on the ground floor. The stylistically defined buildings are predominantly those with mixed commercial-residential functions. Notably, nearly all were erected according to plans from common carpenters' books of the era, making them important examples of late nineteenth-century urban construction practices. Their similar building methods create architectural cohesion despite stylistic variation. The grouping was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, a year before the broader Over-the-Rhine neighborhood—containing more than 1,200 buildings—received the same designation.
