The Synagogue of Turin, located on Via Pio V in the Piedmontese capital, is a Moorish Revival structure completed in 1884 by architect Enrico Petiti. Also known as the Israelite Temple, the building exemplifies the ornamental aesthetic that characterized Jewish synagogue architecture in late-nineteenth-century Europe, employing the elaborate decorative vocabulary of Moorish design to create a visually distinctive house of worship.
