The Talcottville Historic District in Vernon, Connecticut, preserves a 19th-century mill village centered on Elm Hill Road and Main Street. Built around cotton-spinning operations established by the Talcott brothers, the district retains archaeological evidence of early textile facilities, a stone dam, and a substantial wood-frame mill structure. Worker housing from the mid-19th century forms a significant component of the village, alongside an 1891 lenticular pony truss bridge manufactured by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company. The district's architecture reflects Greek Revival and Renaissance Revival styles characteristic of its era. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
