Tan-y-Deri, a Prairie School wood house in Wyoming, Iowa County, Wisconsin, was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1907 for his sister Jane Porter and her family, who occupied it by late January 1908. Wright named the residence—meaning "under the oaks" in Welsh, honoring his family's heritage—to reflect its setting in a valley originally settled by the Lloyd Joneses, Jane's maternal relatives. The home stands on Wright's Taliesin estate, now a National Historic Landmark, alongside four other Wright-designed structures including the main Taliesin house and the Romeo and Juliet Windmill, both visible from the Porter residence.
