The Teatro Dal Verme, built in 1872 in Milan, occupies the site of the former Politeama Ciniselli on Via San Giovanni sul Muro. Designed by Giuseppe Pestagalli for Count Francesco Dal Verme, the theatre was originally devoted to dramatic works and opera throughout the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Now designated as Italian national heritage, the venue has evolved beyond its operatic origins to host concerts, plays, dance performances, exhibitions, and conferences.
