The Gran Teatro Falla, located in Plaza Fragela in Cádiz, Spain, is a neo-Mudéjar theater that rose from the ashes of its wooden predecessor, which burned in 1881. Construction began in 1884 under architect Adolfo Morales de los Ríos but proceeded fitfully due to funding constraints until completion in 1905, with municipal architect Juan Cabrera de la Torre making significant modifications to the original design. Built of red brick, the theater's principal façade features three grand horseshoe-arch entry doorways with alternating red and white voussoirs, leading into a vestibule redesigned in the 1920s. The horseshoe-shaped galleries rise above the vestibule, while the stage measures 18 meters wide by 25.5 meters deep, crowned by a ceiling depicting Paradise by Felipe Abarzuza y Rodríguez de Arias. Renamed in 1926 to honor native composer Manuel de Falla, the theater hosts the city's famous Carnival of Cádiz competitions each February, along with theatrical and musical performances throughout the year.
