The Lawn is a historic nineteenth-century frame house located in Elkridge, Howard County, Maryland. Built in 1835 as a summer retreat by George Washington Dobbin, the estate originally featured five outbuildings, three of which—two cottages and a barn—date from the nineteenth century. The house reflects Italianate and Gothic Revival architectural styles. After serving as apartments for many years, The Lawn was purchased and comprehensively restored in 2006, including refinished floors, renovated kitchen and butler's pantry, and professional decoration as that year's Howard County Decorator Show house. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
