The Wilderness is a historic stone and frame house located in a wooded setting west of Catonsville in Baltimore County, Maryland. Originally constructed around 1800, the residence was transformed during a major expansion in 1899–1900 when it served as a summer home for Francis Cumberland Dugan II. The building exemplifies Queen Anne style architecture through its varied roof and dormer configurations and characteristic wraparound porch, with a third story nestled within a tall mansard roof. The property also features supporting structures including a stone springhouse and smokehouse, a summer kitchen, a log tenant house, and a large frame barn. The Wilderness was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
