The Scalpel is a 190-metre commercial skyscraper completed in 2018 at 52 Lime Street in London's City of London financial district, designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox. Rising 38 storeys, the building takes its distinctive name—originally a Financial Times nickname—from its striking angular form, which also recalls a play button when viewed from across the Thames. Located opposite the Lloyd's building and adjacent to the Willis Building, it exemplifies the contemporary tower architecture reshaping the historic financial quarter.
