The Threefoot Building is a 16-story Art Deco office tower in downtown Meridian, Mississippi, designed by Claude H. Lindsley and completed in 1929. Named after the Threefoot family, who operated a business in the area during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, it remains the city's tallest structure. Though its construction preceded the Great Depression, the economic collapse bankrupted the Threefoot family; the building nonetheless attracted various tenants through the 1990s before suburban development depleted its occupancy. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and designated a Mississippi Landmark in 2008, the building faced severe decline and was recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as one of "America's Most Endangered Places" in 2010. Following redevelopment efforts by city administration, a private developer acquired the property in 2015, converting it into the Threefoot Hotel, now operated by Marriott's Tribute Portfolio.
