Built in 1930 in Olympia, Washington, the Thurston County Courthouse (also known as the Capitol Court Building) exemplifies Moderne architecture. Originally serving as the county's judicial headquarters, the building was vacated in 1978 when the court relocated to Olympia's Westside. After standing empty for over a decade, the structure underwent renovation and reopened in 1991. Since 1995, it has housed offices leased by government agencies and private businesses. The building was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.
