The Washington County Courthouse in Washington, Kansas, is an Art Deco structure built of Bedford limestone between 1932 and 1934. Designed by Wichita architects Overend and Boucher, it replaced an earlier courthouse destroyed in a tornado on July 4, 1932. The two-story building features the hallmark geometric vocabulary of Art Deco style, with two-story square towers projecting from each corner. The courthouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000 and is also registered on the Kansas Register of Historic Places.
