Located in Plymouth, North Carolina, the Washington County Courthouse is a three-story Classical Revival brick structure completed in 1918–1919 by the architectural firm Benton & Benton. The building's formal neoclassical design is articulated through heavy stone trim and a monumental front façade dominated by a tetrastyle Ionic portico. Recognized as a significant example of early twentieth-century courthouse architecture, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and remains part of the Plymouth Historic District.
