The Washington County Courthouse in Fayetteville, Arkansas, is a Romanesque Revival structure completed in 1905 and designed by Charles L. Thompson and associates. As the fifth courthouse building to serve Washington County, it has been a prominent feature of the Fayetteville skyline since its construction. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. Though a new courthouse was acquired in 1989 and located nearby at the intersection of College Avenue and Dickson Street to better serve administrative functions, the historic 1905 courthouse continues to serve the county as a repository for records.
